The types of anemia
Breakdown of anemia is quite complex. The division may take into account the size of erytrocytu. There are so normoblastyczne anemia (blood properly), megaloblastyczne (too big) and mikrocytarne (small cells). The distribution of this parameter is used MCV, which is the average volume of blood.
The second division takes into account the average content of hemoglobin in krwince (MCH). There are niedobarwliwe hipochromiczne anemia (low MCH, such as anemia from iron deficiency), anemia normochromiczne (MCH correct, such as hemolytic anemia) and anemia nadbarwliwe hiperchromiczne (high MCH, such as anemia with deficiency of vitamin B12 and folic acid).
Simple and clear is the following breakdown:
- Anemia caused by loss of blood (the body loses erythrocytes). These are pokrwotoczne anemia.
- Anemia resulting from the production of erythrocytes handicapped (for example, in bone marrow diseases, but also in the absence of erythrocytes to the creation of the necessary substances such as iron, vitamin B12 or folic acid). These include anemia and a shortage of aplastyczne.
- Anemia associated with reduced erythrocyte life (with the increased destruction of erythrocytes by the body - such as irregular erythrocytes). These include hemolytic anemia (hemolysis - the disintegration of blood cells).
